Vincent N. Reed, 83, of 108 West Decatur Street, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at his residence. Born in Shippensburg, PA he was a son of the late Lee and Eliza Artemis Finkey Reed. Mr. Reed was owner and operator of Vince Reed's Piano Tuning Service and was the organist at Agnew Road Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Janet Reed, of the home; two daughters, Ruth Ann "Patty" Sesler of Greenville and Nell Lee "Brook" Welborn of Taylors; a sister, Nellie Rockwell; a brother, Sam Reed; a niece, Artemis Cupper all of Shippensburg, PA; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Agnew Road Baptist Church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agnew Road Baptist Church, Church Organ Fund, 400 Rainbow Drive, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at the residence.
