Viola Lively McCoy

Viola Lively McCoy, 95, of 600 Hunts Bridge Road, died Sunday, December 9, 2007 at The Laurels of Hendersonville. Born in Nelson, GA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Mary Lou Stokes Lively and wife of the late James Thomas McCoy, Sr. Mrs. McCoy retired from Greenville General Hospital and was a member of Woodside Baptist Church, WMU, Hope Sunday School Class, Happy Hearts, and worked with the Crisis Center. Surviving are a son, James T. ?Sonny? McCoy, Jr. and wife Nancy, of Greenville; two sons-in-law, Keith Garren of Adel, GA and Carl Tilson of Greenville; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; and a special granddaughter, Teresa Heffner and husband John, of Hendersonville, NC. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jackie Garren and Jacquelyn Tilson; four sisters; and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held at the graveside Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hendersonville, 1825 Asheville Hwy., Hendersonville, NC 28791 or Woodside Baptist Church, 301 Woodside Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611. The family is at their respective homes.
