Virginia Pike Meyer, 89, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 03, 2008. Born in Clemson, she was a daughter of the late Walter D. Pike and Moena Boggs Pike and wife of the late Charles Edwin Meyer. Mrs. Meyer retired from the Greenville County School District and was a member of Sans Souci Baptist Church and the Phebean Sunday School Class. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Moena Meyer; a son, Charles Edwin Meyer, Jr.; a sister, Christine P. Glymph; and two brothers, C. Edward Pike and William W. Pike. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Sans Souci Baptist Church at 1:30 pm with visitation from 12:30 ? 1:15 pm prior to the service at the church. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Omit flowers and make memorials to Sans Souci Baptist Church, 3100 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
