Virginia White Chandler

Virginia Ginny White Chandler, 85, of Travelers Rest, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, June 9, 2008. Born in Franklin County, GA, she was a daughter of late S.B. and Lillie Mae Poe White, and wife of the late Melvin A. Chandler. Mrs. Chandler was retired from Milliken, Judson Plant. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church for over 32 years, where she was also a member of the Mother's Sunday School Class. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her Lord, life, family and friends. Ginny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Darleen and Mike Davis; her granddaughter, Bekie Davis; her grandson and his wife, Michael and Amy Davis; two great grandchildren, Chloe and Colin Davis; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A celebration of her life will be Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at Grand View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund, 626 Talley Bridge Rd Marietta, SC 29661.
The family will be at the home of Mike and Darleen Davis.
