Vivian Ida Griffin Garrett

Vivian Ida Griffin Garrett, 85, died February 9, 2008. Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Garrett was the widow of Arthur Garrett, and the daughter of the late Edgar and Lola Harris Griffin. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, and visiting with her many friends. She was a very active member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jane Garrett of Easley; a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Bob Cashner of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Elizabeth Dickson of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Jean Griffin of Dacusville; an Aunt, Louise Freeman; five grandchildren and spouses, Jill and Chuck Hiers of Charleston, SC, Julia and Shawn Hoskinson of Taylors, Siroui Mushegian of New York, NY, Sonya Cashner, of Allentown, PA and Shayna Cashner of Charlotte, NC; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Edgar Garrett and a brother, Glenn Griffin. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Piedmont Park Baptist Church, pastor and members, for all their love, care and support of our Mother.
