Waddy Alexander Mullinax

Waddy Alexander Mullinax, 86, formerly of 144 Mountain View Circle, died Saturday, March 10, 2007. Born in Pickens, Mrs. Mullinax was the widow of T.J. Mullinax, and the daughter of the late Waddy Thomas and Dora Porter Stewart. She was retired from J.P. Stevens Monaghan Plant where she was employed for 43 years. Mrs. Mullinax was a member of Monaghan United Methodist Church and a member of the Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Butler and her husband, Rayburn of Lexington, Beth Howard of Greenville, and Sandra Phillips and her husband, Jyles of Greenville; a son, Barry Alexander and his wife Teresa of Lexington, SC; two step-sons, Tom Mullinax and his wife Judy, of Greenville, and John Mullinax of Marietta; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, B.F. Alexander; a son, Keith Alexander; two sisters, Lena Hester and Nannie Shelton; and a brother, Matt Stewart. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2007 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Greenville Living Center and Lutheran Hospice for their love and support during her Ms. Mullinax? illness.
