Walter David ?Dub? Lawless, Sr., 84, of 215 Evelyn Drive, husband of Juanita Cheek Lawless, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late John Herd and Marie Lee Lawless. Mr. Lawless was the retired owner and operator of Dub?s Cleaners and was also retired from Farm Best and Carolina Uniform Rentals. He was a member of Edgewood Church of Christ where he served as Teenage Bible teacher, Treasurer, Deacon, and personal works leader. Mr. Lawless was a 1998 Jefferson Award Nominee. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynn Lawless of West Union, S.C., Johnny and Wanda Lawless of Travelers Rest, Randy and Brenda Lawless of Piedmont; eleven grandchildren, Wanda and James King, John and Missy Lawless, Jr., Bob Lawless, Joey and Brandi Lawless, David and Amanda Lawless, III, Chris and Leslie Lawless, Tonia and Todd Crawford , Josh Lawless, Nicole Lawless, Eric Lawless, Jordan Lawless; nine great grandchildren, Chris King, Thomy Moore, Krystal King, Rene Lawless, Jacob Lawless, Ann-Marie Lawless, Melissa Lawless, Sarah Crawford, and Adam Crawford. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James R. Lawless, J.C. Lawless, and Ralph Lawless. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Church of Christ, 205 Edgewood Drive, Greenville, S.C. 29605 or to the Moore Church of Christ, 2798 Moore Duncan Highway, Moore, S.C. 29369. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Edgewood Church of Christ. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
