Wanda Kay Stubblefield Ballard, 53, wife of David Ballard, died Friday, July 21, 2006 following a prolonged decline in health. Born in 1952, Mrs. Ballard was the daughter of the late Ralph Freeman and Rachel Willene Lovelace Stubblefield. Mrs. Ballard resided in Mauldin with her husband of 35 years, David Ballard. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church and played an active role in the establishment of The First Baptist Church of the Deaf, which worships in the Pendleton Street facility.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Tracy Bayne and her husband Eric of Mauldin; a grandson, Alex Bayne; two brothers, Ray Stubblefield of Greenville and Robert Stubblefield of Simpsonville.
. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 24, at 3:00 p.m. at the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Graceland East Memorial Park. The family is at the residence. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
