Wilburn Earl Swanger, Jr, 65, of 8 Linnett Drive, husband of Linda Davis Swanger, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Nellie Ingle Swanger of Greenville and the late Wilburn E. Swanger, Sr. Mr. Swanger was employed with CMC South Carolina Steel and was a member of New Beginning Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri S. and Tommy Anglin of Sylvester, GA, Tracey S. and Tim Williams of Greer; a son, David Swanger of Greenville; a brother, Carl Swanger of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Alyssa and Zackery Anglin, Colton and Megan Williams and Abigail Swanger. Memorials may be made to the Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Tracey Williams, 750 North Dobson Road, Greer, SC.
