William “Bill” Asbury Scarboro, 79, of Greenville passed away on April 29, 2022.
Born in Royston, GA, he was a son of the late Turnis Edward and Gladys Mason Scarboro.
Bill proudly served his country in the United State Air Force. He retired as a bookkeeper for many years. Always a numbers guy, he would gladly help anyone with their taxes.
He loved reading John Grisham books, watching movies, something he did very often with his kids, and he taught country line dancing at Scuffletown and Country Earls. He loved spending time with his family and was was known to be a sweet and loving man.
His memory will continue on in the hearts of his two loving children, Jason Scarboro, and Celeste Hadwin and husband, Dustin; three precious grandchildren, Connor, Calista, and Caitlin Hadwin; and his sister, Ada Bishop.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Holliday.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery West.
