William Chatterton Pierce

July 14, 1947 - October 25, 2006
William Chatterton Pierce, III, 59, of 109 Willow Lane, husband of Mary Jean McEwan Pierce of 23 years, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born in Providence, R.I., he was a son of the late Victor and Irene Weaver Mitchell Pierce. Mr. Pierce was employed with the United States Postal Service and retired in 2003 and was also a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. He was also a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, William C. Pierce, IV. and his wife Tonya U. of Greer, Linda M. Hughes and her husband Michael of Central, Jennifer J. Kulper of Richmond, VA., Janice M. Westfall and her husband Marc of Bellbrook, OH., Richard E. Kulper of Cincinnati, OH.; four grandchildren, Brian M. Hughes of Central, Abra Lee Pierce of Greer, Sydney M. Westfall and Gracie S. Westfall both of Bellbrook, OH.; and a brother, Victor H. Pierce of Fisher, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner?s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with visitation to follow.
