William E. Jones

William E. Jones, 78, of 319 Parkins Mill Road, died Friday, November 17, 2006. Born in Greenville, Mr. Jones was the husband of Annie Ruth Youngblood Jones and the son of the late James ?Jimmy? and Margie Ridgeway Jones. He was retired from Duke Power Company and was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Tripp of Easley; two step-daughters, Rita Doyle of Myrtle Beach and Patricia Huff of Greenville; a step-son, Mark Lewis of Liberty; a grandson, William Evan Tripp of Easley; three step-grandchildren, Carla and Courtney Lewis, and Jayna Doyle; a sister, Mary Jean Solesbee of Greenville; and a brother, Jack Allen Jones of Greenville. He is predeceased by a son-in-law, Les Tripp. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601 or American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will be at the residence.
