William Edwin Perry, Sr., 90, formerly of 21 Louise Avenue, died on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Oakmont East Nursing Center after a brief illness. Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Samuel and Sally Jewell Perry. He was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters. Mr. Perry was retired from Amoco and was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Knight Perry, of Greenville; a daughter, Mary Davis and her husband Jeff, of Travelers Rest; two sons, Styles Perry and wife Iris of Indian Trail, NC, and Bill Perry and wife Jane of Conover, NC; a sister, Opal Watson, of Duluth, GA; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Evangeline Barker Perry; four brothers and a sister. Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Monaghan Baptist Church with visitation from 12 Noon ? 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Roebuck Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Monaghan Baptist Church Building Fund, 1500 W. Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at their respective homes.
