William Ford Duncan

William Ford Duncan, 81, of Travelers Rest, died Sunday at Rutherford Hospital, Rutherfordton, NC. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late William Perry and Hattie Langford Duncan. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of Foothills Baptist Church. Mr. Duncan served in the United States Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Etta Mae Daniel Duncan; two sons, William Leonard "Lynn" Duncan and wife, Karen of Greenville and Gregg Duncan of Greer; a sister, Frances Duncan of Travelers Rest; and six grandchildren, Kayla, Meredith, Kylan, Jana, Rusty and Jarrid Duncan. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Duncan. Visitation will be tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest from 7 to 8:30. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Grand View Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Foothills Baptist Church, PO Box 222, Travelers Rest, SC 29690-0222 or the charity of one's choice. The family ia at the home of the sister, 24 Paris View Drive, Travelers Rest.
