William Garvin Friddle

William Garvin Friddle, 91, of 248 Conestee Lake Rd., Greenville died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at his residence. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Robert Pressley and Lela Averilla Hampton Friddle and widower of Willie Pauline Simpson Friddle. He was a farmer by trade and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his daughter, Patricia A. Jones of Greenville; two sons, Albert G. Friddle and wife Barbara of Greenville and Donnie Joe Friddle and wife Ann of Greenville; two grandchildren, Rickey Jones and Donna Forest; four great-granddaughters; one brother, Jim Friddle of Mauldin; and one sister, Mary McQueen of Mauldin. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service from 12:15 pm until 1:15 pm. Interment to follow the service in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home of Patricia Jones, 246 Conestee Lake Rd., Greenville.
