William Haskell Hesley

William Haskell ?Hack? Hensley, Sr., 78, 316 Blackberry Valley Rd. died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Clyde Hensley and Ethel Babb Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a veteran in WWII where he served with the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed with American Spinning for twenty eight years and was an employee of American Security. He was of the baptist faith. Surviving are his wife Mary Lou Rochester Hensley of Greenville; a daughter, Diane Embry and husband, Allen of Florence, SC; a son, Hack ?Bill? Hensley, Jr. and wife Sharon of Greenville; step-children, Rita, Diane, Gary, a brother, Jimmy Hensley and wife Polly of Easley; grandchildren, Dawn Young and husband Ralph, David Hensley and Amy Breedlove, Daniel Alexander and wife Robin, Jeremy Matthews, Drew Embry, Tyler Embry, four great grandchildren, Kyle, Conner, Courtney and Hunter, also surviving is his special pet Pepper. He is predeceased by a daughter, Debra Elaine Hensley, a great grandson Alex Matthews, a step-son, Larry Rochester. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, on Friday, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Northwest Chapel on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Rockvale Baptist Church, 652 Old Grove Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673 or City View First Baptist Church, 2300 W. Blue Ridge Dr. Greenville, SC 29611. The family is at the residence of the son Hack Hensley, Jr., 310 Hawkins Creek Rd., Greenville, SC.
