William Jack Pirkle

William "Jack" Pirkle, 64, of 123 Thomas Mill Court, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Woodrow Jackson Pirkle and Zula Grace McKinney Pirkle. Mr. Pirkle served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association and Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and the Singles Sunday School Class. He was also a member of American Legion #52. Surviving are two sons, John Allen Pirkle and wife Teresa, and Dale Jackson Pirkle; a daughter, Patricia Kattie Pirkle; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Candice, and Cameron. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Reeves. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Gardens.
