William Leroy Jones

William Leroy Jones, 80, of 105 Autumn Drive, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his home. Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late William Roscoe and Ella Mae Herd Jones, and the husband of Lucille Griffin Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church, an employee of McCoy Motors in Piedmont, and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Elaine Jones, a son, David Jones and his wife, Pat, a grandson, Brian Jones and fiancé, Kelly Lively, and a sister, Willie Mae Gosnell. Mr. Jones was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sarah Ann Jones. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence. Memorials may be made to Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 200 N.
