William R.D. Floyd

William R.D. Floyd, 85, of 11 Buxton Court, died Saturday, August 2, 2008. Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late John and Nora Landreth Floyd and husband of the late Dorothy Holcombe Floyd. Mr. Floyd was retired from Woodside Mills and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are four children, Brenda Gosnell of Greenville, Jerry Floyd and wife Charlotte of Marietta, James Floyd and wife Johnnie of Pendleton, and Joseph Floyd and wife Vickie of Lavonia, GA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 1:30 pm graveside at Graceland Cemetery, West. Pallbearers will be Roger and Alex Fleming, Michael Gosnell, Jason Thrasher, Jackie Oakes, Doug and Steve Holcombe, and Jim Floyd, Jr. The family is at the residence.
