William Steve Smith, 50, of 1307 East North Street, husband of Celeste Tabone Smith, together for 20 years, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at his residence. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of Richard Allen and Imogene Ballew Smith of Simpsonville. Mr. Smith was owner and operator of Salon 1307 and was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are a sister, Karen S. Chambers of Pelzer; and a brother, Rick Smith of Simpsonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605 or Open Arms Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p. m. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and at the home of his parent?s in Simpsonville.
