William T. Freeman

William T. Freeman, 81, of 101 Sycamore Drive, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his residence. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Esley and Nettie Cason Freeman. Mr. Freeman served in the US Navy during WWII and The Battle of Normandy. He was a crewman of the US LCT Landing Craft Tank 616. He retired from the USDA and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Past Master of Ebenezer 101 Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Marie Bell, of the home; two sons, Mark Freeman and wife, Becky, of Marietta and Ray Freeman of Liberty; a step grandson, Keith Guest and wife Allison, of Marietta; a step great grandson, Andrew Guest, of Marietta; two sisters, Clara Rushton of Saluda and Elizabeth Bowers and her husband, Bill, of Six Mile; and two brothers, James Freeman and his wife, Christine, of Easley and Curtis Freeman and his wife, Leodis, of Piedmont. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at Shiloh Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with visitation from 2:00 ? 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Gardens.
