Willie Louise Painter

Willie Louise Phillips Painter, 85, widow of Charles D. Painter, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Southern Oaks Assisted Living. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Ida Fortner Phillips. Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and member of Washington Baptist Church, Pelzer. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Mays of Taylors, Nancy Jeter and her husband, Dexter, of Ware Shoals; a sister, Leanora Solesbee of Greenville; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Durham, a son, Danny Painter and a granddaughter, Megan Ridgeway. Memorials may be made to Washington Baptist Church, 208 Washington Church Road, Pelzer, SC 29669. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Washington Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes.
