Wilma Hughes Strange, 92, cherished wife of the late Robert B. Strange, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Born in Six Mile, SC, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Dora Turner Hughes.
Wilma was a member of Tremont Church Of God. Wilma’s commitment to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in collecting angels, symbols of divine presence and protection, which reflected her deep spiritual connection.
Wilma’s heart overflowed with love for her church family, and she cherished the moments spent in fellowship with them. Her love extended beyond the church walls to encompass her family, whom she adored dearly. As a mother and grandmother, Wilma’s love knew no bounds, and her nurturing spirit enriched the lives of those around her.
Wilma exemplified a life of unwavering faith and dedication to her Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Eakes, Brenda Adams (Rodney), and Hope Strange; son, Robbie Strange (Caroline);grandchildren, Mark, Michele, Stevie, and Gracie; many great grandchildren; special sister-in-law and best friend, Jenny Hughes; and a special friend, Randall McKee.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Dale Strange; grandson, Tracy Eakes; and 13 brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 04, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Tremont Church Of God, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in held in Graceland Cemetery West.
