Zackary Michael Stelk, 21, of Greenville, South Carolina, was tragically taken from us on April 14, 2024, following a motorcycle accident.
Born on January 7, 2003, in Jacksonville, Florida, Zack exuded a radiant and energetic spirit that drew others to him. A recent graduate of J.L. Mann High School, he was adored for his contagious smile, musical prowess on the saxophone, and remarkable success in national video game competitions. Zack found professional fulfillment at Hill Electric in Anderson, SC, where he formed enduring friendships.
An avid mechanic, Zack devoted countless hours to enhancing his Audi S6 and Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. His near record-breaking speed earned him widespread admiration for his mechanical skills, rare in someone so young. More than his hobbies and achievements, Zack cherished moments with his close friends and his beloved pets, Bandit, Roy Boy, and Lulu.
Zack is survived by his parents, Valene Ranney and Michael Stelk of Jacksonville; grandparents, Randy and Cheryl Stelk of Greenville; grandmother, Dawn Rizzen. He will also be profoundly missed by his brothers, Dana Stelk of Avondale, Georgia, Wesley Burke and Mathew Burke of Asheville, North Carolina, and Brandan of Jacksonville; his sister, Brie of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as his dearest friends, Mari, Zane, Saf, Tey, and Marcus.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Greenville County Animal Care Services at www.greenvillecounty.org/acs/.
Zack’s dynamic presence and generous spirit have left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in our hearts and stories.
