Zola O. Turner

Zola O. Turner, widow of William B. ?Bill? Turner, Jr. and formerly of Oak Forest Dr. in Berea, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005. She was a daughter of O. Melton Owen and Addie Lee Owen. Mrs. Turner retired from Wunda Weave Carpet Co. and had been employed as a weaving instructor in several local textile plants. She was a member of City View First Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. Besides her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed studying her Bible of which she had several. She leaves behind many fond memories of a devoted Christian mother. Surviving are a daughter, Maxine Hall, of Anderson; two sons, Wm Boyd Turner, III Linda of Piedmont and Robert O. Turner, Sr. Donna of Grand Prairie, TX; two sisters, Lois Phillips of Greenville and Ora Lee Long of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by a son-in-law, Parker W. Hall; a brother, Garnett Owen; a sister, Vivian Barnett; and a great-granddaughter. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:30 ? 1:15 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to City View First Baptist Church, 2300 W. Blue Ridge Dr., Greenville, SC 29611. The family is at the home of son Wm. Boyd Turner, III, 167 Kingsland Way, Piedmont, SC 29673.
